Modern piano – great for playing contemporary/pop songs you love.
Classical Piano – Ideal for a more traditional approach and/or to take AMEB examinations.
Jazz Piano – Improvisation, modes, and harmony, Jazz repertoire.
Yitang began receiving Piano lessons at the tender age of 6 and has more than 20 years’ experience in playing, performing and many years in teaching. In addition to receiving the highest level possible in China for Piano grades, Yitang has also received the equivalent in performance certificates.
Yitang has worked and performed with the many prominent musicians including the famous conductor Peng Cao, performing the Piano Concerto-Yellow River with the Shanghai Datong Symphony Orchestra at Shanghai Grand Theatre. Yitang has also won various prizes in piano competitions and performed concerts internationally.
Alongside Yitangs high level of proficiency and passion for music she is also completing a PhD in Business and Accounting. In her spare time Yitang enjoys running, listening to music and playing table tennis at a competitive level.
Yitang has a strong passion for classical Piano, and also enjoys Pop and electronic music.
Amanda started piano lessons at the age of 7 under the tutelage of Mrs Irene Pereira (LTCL,LRSM). Throughout school, college and university, she won various competitions and scholarships and has 10 years of teaching experience to her credit.
In 2006, she graduated with a double major in Sociology-Psychology, and in 2008 completed her Masters in Sociology. In 2010, Amanda completed her Licentiate Diploma in Piano Performance (L.T.C.L) from Trinity College, London with a distinction.
Over the years, she has taught students of all ages, and trained students for competitions, recitals and exams across different international boards including Trinity College, London, the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM), London College of Music and more recently the Australian Music Examinations Board(AMEB). She also accompanies choirs, musicians and individuals for religious functions, commercial events, exams and competitions.
In 2011, she trained in Early Childhood Education and Piano Pedagogy and Development under Mary Stouffer and Karen Quinton from the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, Canada. She then went on to co-formulate piano curriculum, train, mentor, manage teachers and help lauch centres for Furtados School of Music- India’s biggest music school, with branches across the country. She also headed the music program for children with special needs. In addition she is certified in Baby and Toddler courses from Musikgarten (U.S.A).
In 2012, Amanda was 1 of 14 musicians and educators from India to be selected for the prestigious exchange program in New York with the Academy- a program of Carnegie Hall, Julliard School and Weill Music Institute. She strongly believes in outreach through music and has provided ‘know how’ for the keyboard curriculum for Mewsic- the Brett Lee foundation for underprivileged children in India. She also volunteers for music studies and research at the University of Western Sydney regularly.
